I haven’t gone for a virology interview myself, but a colleague said they only asked medschool-level questions, e.g., ELISA and PCR tests, RNA vs DNA viruses, viral mutations and strains, etc.
And then they also asked about proper specimen collection techniques, how to calibrate testing machines, how to interpret tests, etc.
