I currently work at Mowbray Maternity Hospital.

So just to update this -

There are no doctors quarters available for commserve

I am rotating through a year of Neonates.
Your clinical exposure is amazing when its comes to postnates and high care. You get some exposure to NICU as well.

As the commserve, you work a shift system and you are first on call with a MO on site to discuss any cases that will need admission or more hands at delivery. Generally, you are on call for labour ward, theatre, the postnatal wards and high care during the shift. Outside referrals are discussed with the MO.

With regards to academics, theres a journal club every Wednesday and teaching rounds in NICU and High Care every other day. Theres students around so there will always be teaching for them.

Mowbray is accredited for a DCH also.

Anaesthetics is also offered for commserves - with accreditation for DA.
They work in theatre during the day and call at GSH after hours.

I hope this helps anyone applying to mowbray for commserve in the future!
