Sessional sub-specialist posts – up to 20 hours a week. Grade 1: R 709.00 per hour, Grade 2: R 809.00 per

lecturer or as an associate professor/professor according to the discipline and regulations of the University

REQUIREMENTS: A) Qualifications and Competencies for Medical Specialist
:black_small_square: An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions
Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in a relevant specialty.
:black_small_square: Current registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in a relevant specialty.
:black_small_square: Grade 1: No experience after registration with the HPCSA as a specialist.
:black_small_square: Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years of appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist
after registration with the HPCSA (or a recognized foreign health professional
council in respect of foreign-qualified employees) in a normal specialty.
:black_small_square: Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years of appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist
after registration with the HPCSA (or a recognized foreign health professional
council in respect of foreign-qualified employees) in a normal specialty.

in a relevant specialty as well as a Medical Sub-specialist.

:black_small_square: Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years of appropriate experience as a Medical subSpecialist after registration with the HPCSA.
