Rural allowance: No
Doctors quarters: No, but you get a housing allowance of R2500/month
Academics: variable, but very good in most departments, WITS registrars and consultants rotate to Klerksdorp and Tshepong. General surgery and Orthopaedics had very good academics
Supervision: excellent
Clinical Exposure: excellent
Social scene: fits and starts. Extroverted Medicine MOs tried to build a scene. Comm Serve social had only 9 out of 27 attend.
