Academics:
- There is no academics at all.
Supervision:
- Department dependent. Paeds and obgyn have excellent consultants. Other departments such as internal and surgery has poor supervision.
- There is no senior registered consultant except in paediatrics.
Clinical Exposure:
- Amazing exposure. Get very comfortable with intubations and managing emergencies on your own competently.
Departments worked in:
- Internal Medicine, Paediatrics - Incredible paediatric experience. Nursing staff are so supportive and hard working. 2 consultants on the ground every day but also a lot of independence. Able to do DCH. Only departments with working in are paediatrics and obs and Gynae.

Social Scene:
- Great if you are an out doors person. Town is right on the Orange river with great camping and paddling opportunities. Also right by the Namibian border to great for trips.
Additional Comments:
- Don’t make the mistake to go here. There is no DQ, the DQ is given to nurses and maintenance men. The overtime is usually not paid. There is virtually no supervision. Worse year. You have to fight for everything.
