Departments worked in:
- Internal Medicine, Emergency Department - 6 months per rotation. Options: depending on need that year: O&G / internal Med / emergency department / surgery / family medicine.
- Internal Medicine - Internal medicine- Renal catheters to acutely dialyse patient. Lead resus, sharpen intubation skills. In ICU, you manage your patient so get great ICU exposure.
Social Scene:
- East London hospital complex (with Frere) has a social committee with lots of activities (usually sponsored) throughout the year.
Additional Comments:
- Live in East London. Safe drive 30 min away on highway. Awesome lifestyle. Consultants always with you, available. Interns to help with patient load and ward work etc. On site lab and blood bank. Brand new hospital with clean, private call rooms with fridge/ microwave/ own bathroom. Really nice.
