Audience
ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiac arrest and other emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. All students must have a valid AHA BLS certificate prior to attending the course.

Course Content
• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of bag-mask device and the use of an (AED).
• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest.
• Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions Airway management & related pharmacology.
• Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke.
• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team.

Certification
• For successful course completion, learners must actively participate in all case-based scenarios and must meet all current ACLS course completion requirements.
• Pass the ACLS Provider exam with a score of 84% or higher.
• Upon successful completion, learners receive an ACLS course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
