# Emergency medicine MO interview tips

Clinical questions, approach to common emergency conditions, e.g.,

- Chest pain.

- DKA.

- Common poisons.

- Psychotic patient (including aggressive patient, can become a conflict question).

- Depending on the EC, they might include some common paeds emergency med cases or trauma cases.

- Questions about yourself come up quite a bit, probably because it is usually a pretty high-stress environment, so prepare some good answers before-hand:

- Managing workplace conflict.

- Hierarchy/structure of a resus team - who does what, why is that important.

- Strengths and weaknesses, how you cope with stress.

And then some of the general questions:

- Cost saving
